The Hope Project: Alba’s Story (A Window Into the Heart of an Older Adopted Child and Encouragement for Adoptive Families)

This five part audio program allows the listener a glimpse into the lives of Carl, Sophia, and their daughter, Alba.  This family shares the challenges they faced having come together by adoption, and their struggle to find a path to healing.  The series includes advice straight from Alba’s heart, adopted at the age of 15, and encouragement from her Mom and Dad for other adoptive parents.  Because the struggles of children adopted at older ages can be unique and resources to address the related issues are minimal, this family offers themselves as a beacon of hope for other families facing similar challenges.  Listen in as they share some of what they have learned along the way to building their family, and claim hope for your own journey.  Interviews were conducted and commentary provided by Jen Winkelmann, MA, LPC, NCC, Founder/Clinical Director of Inward Bound, LLC.
